The short version

Who we are

OnPlan is made by [YOUR NAME OR COMPANY] (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what the OnPlan app does with your information. Questions: support@getonplan.app.

Information you enter

To build your daily plan, OnPlan stores what you type or tap in the app:

This information is stored on your iPhone and, if you use the Apple Watch app, on your paired Apple Watch.

Apple Health

If you choose to connect Apple Health, OnPlan asks to read steps, walking and running distance, workouts, active energy, weight and sleep, and to write the weights you log in OnPlan. You choose which of these to allow, and you can change that at any time in the Health app (Sharing › Apps › OnPlan).

We use Health data only to fill in your rings, show your progress and suggest targets. Specifically:

Motion & Fitness

If you don’t use Apple Health, OnPlan can ask for Motion & Fitness access to count steps with your iPhone’s motion sensor. Those step counts stay on your device, just like Health data.

iCloud Sync

iCloud Sync is optional. When it is on, OnPlan keeps a copy of your plan and check-ins in your own iCloud account, so they follow you to a new iPhone. It syncs what you entered yourself — check-ins, typed weigh-ins, logged workouts and each day’s result. It does not sync anything read from Apple Health or the motion sensor. iCloud is operated by Apple under Apple’s privacy policy; we cannot read your iCloud data.

Partners

Sharing is off until you invite someone or accept an invitation. Each partnership is a private iCloud share between the two of you; we do not operate a server in between. When you share with a partner, they can see:

Always sharedOnly if you turn it onNever shared
First name · ring progress (steps as a percentage of your goal, meals and habits checked in) · streaks · pause status · time zone · cheers and nudges Workouts · weekly report · weight direction (up, down or steady) Step counts · weight in kg or lb · meal names or calories · anything else from Apple Health

Invitation links you send show your first name and your streak (or how many days you’ve been on your plan) in the message preview. You can change what a partner sees, pause sharing, or stop sharing at any time; stopping removes the shared data for both of you.

Notifications

Reminders are scheduled on your device. Partner notifications (cheers, nudges, “closed all rings” alerts) arrive through Apple’s push service when iCloud sharing is in use.

What we don’t do

Keeping and deleting your data

Your data stays until you delete it. You can:

Health data written to Apple Health (weights you logged) stays in the Health app, where you manage it.

Your rights

Because your information is held on your devices and in your own iCloud, you can view, correct, export (Settings › iCloud & Data › Export Check-ins) and delete it directly in the app. Depending on where you live — for example California or Washington — you may have additional rights over your personal and consumer health data. To ask a question or make a request, contact support@getonplan.app.

Children

OnPlan is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we’ll update the effective date above and, for significant changes, tell you in the app.
